The events linked to Borgo Verdi and Borgo Pala, near Petralia Soprana, are linked to the peasant struggle movements led on the Madonie by Epifanio Li Puma and to the form of protest undertaken which consisted in not cultivating the lands until the owners had carried out the dictates of the Gullo decrees which should have distributed the uncultivated land to the cooperatives. On March 2, 1948, the landowners, who did not like Li Puma's action, killed him before the eyes of his children. We went to record the area during sunset, when the emergence of the voice of the cicadas and the distant barking of the dogs dance with the sound of the wind moving the leaves, while a few tired cars from afar travel along the hills.
