In Borgo Santa Rita Maurizio Spinello and his family have passed down the art of bread making by continuing to make bread and sell bread, pasta and biscuits, recently opening a pizzeria. Their history is linked to that of the village in the province of Caltanissetta founded by Barone Ignazio La Lomia Bordonaro at the center of his vast fiefdom of 950 hectares and which today also houses an immaterial micro-museum of bread and wheat. We went to record the tools that Maurizio and his collaborators keep in operation all day, next to their shop and where their bread is served daily among the mechanical sounds of the gears. Then we interviewed Maurizio's grandfather who told us about the Borgo as he remembers it and about his childhood.
